East explodes for a record breaking 211 points in 73rd NBA All Star Game

The Eastern Conference All Stars exploded for a record breaking 200 points, upsetting the Western Conference All Stars 211-186 on Sunday, February 18, at the 73rd NBA All Star Game in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Although the East would receive superb play from the hometown kid Tyrese Haliburton, it was Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard who would go home with the 2024 All Star Game MVP.

Lillard finished with a team-high 39 points in the victory over the Western Conference All Stars. Indiana Pacers Tyrese Haliburton added 32 points.

Prior to entering the record books, the East outscored the West 53-47 in the first quarter, 51-42 in the second quarter, 56-47 in the third quarter and 51-50 in the fourth quarter to close out the All Star game.

Final Score: East 211, West 186

According to the NBA, the league celebrated basketball’s deep roots in the state of Indiana, in this year’s 73rd NBA All-Star Game. The group featured the return of both the classic matchup between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference and the traditional scoring system with four 12-minute quarters. The voting process to determine the NBA All-Stars remained the same, with 12 players selected from each conference.
