After earning a 44 point victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, February 24, the Chicago Bulls prevailed over Washington, 102-82 on Sunday, February 26, at the United Center.
The Bulls defense held Washington to a team low 82 points over four quarters of play. Their lowest points output allowed this season. Forward DeMar DeRozan led all scorers with 29 points and guard Zach Lavine added 27.
“We have to do a better job of screening to free up guys,” said Washington coach Wes Unseld Jr. via the Associated Press. “A lot of them (Bulls defenders) shoot the gap and be disruptive from that regard. But those turnovers are costly.”
He continued via AP: “Those are empty possessions for us and lead to some transition opportunities for them.We got to do a better job of that, fighting force with force and managing their physicality.”
According to Bulls PR, this is the first time Bulls have allowed 90 points or less in consecutive games since April 10-12, of 2017. The Bulls are 2-0 since the All-Star break.

With the win, the Chicago Bulls improved to 28-33 on the season. They are now a half game out of the playin spot in the Eastern Conference. Up next, the Bulls will play the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, February 28, on the road. Game time 6:30 p.m.
