Bulls lose to Houston Rockets 133-118 at home

After building a three-game winning streak last week against the Heat, Hawks and Knicks, the Chicago Bulls lost to the Houston Rockets 133-118, on Monday, December 26, at the United Center.

The Bulls had no answers for the Rockets young core, which finished with five starters in double figures scoring. The starters combined for 100 of their team’s 133 points in the victory.

The Bulls were outscored 36-26 in the first quarter, 36-24 in the third quarter and 34-29 in the fourth quarter to close out the game on Monday night.

Although the Rockets played the Bulls well throughout the game, forward DeMar DeRozan scored a team-high 31 points in the loss.

According to the Chicago Bulls, DeRozan has totaled at least 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 3-straight games (12/21-26), making him 1 of 4 Bulls all-time with multiple streaks of at least 3-straight games with 25/5/5 while with Chicago (M. Jordan, Z. LaVine, S. Pippen).

“We can’t feel out games,” said DeRozan via NBC Sports Chicago.

“We gotta go out the gate and treat it like it’s the fourth quarter. That’s just how we have to play. We have to be more aware of that.”

Final Score: Bulls 118, Rockets 133
