With one game left before the NBA All Star Break, the Chicago Bulls prevailed over the Atlanta Hawks 136-126 on Monday, February 12, at State Farm Arena.

The Bulls were led by guard Ayo Dosunmu, who scored 29 points in 39 minutes of play. Dosunmu went 12 of 19 from the field, including five three pointers in the victory over the Hawks.

“We didn’t want to make it a shootout, but we wanted to play fast,”said Dosunmu via the Associated Press. “Even when we scored, they get it out fast. We wanted to go blow-for-blow with them. We wanted to do our best and guard on defense, but the way the game was going, both teams were scoring and then we got some big meaningful stops down the stretch.”

The Bulls outscored the Hawks 34-26 in the second quarter, 37-33 in the third quarter and 39-34 to close out the game. Forward DeMar DeRozan tied Dosunmu in scoring with a game high 29 points.

Final Score: Bulls 136, Hawks 126

With the victory, the Bulls improved to 26-28 on the season and will play their final game before the All Star break on Tuesday, February 13, versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Game time 6 p.m.
