Webb House Inc. to host gala honoring female veterans and families

The Webb House Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing vital services for female veterans and their families, is set to host a gala event on Friday, February 23, 2024. The gala aims to honor and celebrate the brave women who have served in the military and their families, recognizing the sacrifices they’ve made throughout their service. 

Established in 2009, Webb House Inc. has been a beacon of support for female veterans and their children. Many of these women not only serve as daughters but also as mothers, highlighting their unique and multifaceted roles within their families and the military. 

The upcoming gala is poised to be a memorable evening, with all proceeds from the event going towards supporting the organization’s noble mission. Distinguished guests and dignitaries from various branches of the military and patriotic organizations will grace the occasion, underscoring the importance of recognizing and assisting female veterans. 

Among the featured guests and dignitaries expected at the event are: 

• Michelle Howard: A four-star Admiral in the U.S. Navy, whose accomplishments and leadership have earned her widespread recognition. 

• Lt. Colonel Destiny Wells: A military intelligence officer serving in the United States Army Reserves, showcasing the dedication and skills of women in the armed forces. 

• Junelle Mongno: Representing The Office Of The Reporter General of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), underlining the historical significance of the event. 

Throughout its history, the Webb House Inc. has received support from notable individuals who understand the importance of their mission. Past supporters include: 

• General Russell Honore: Renowned for his leadership and contributions to disaster response efforts. 

• Senator Tammy Duckworth: A tireless advocate for veterans and military families in the United States Senate. 

• Jessica Lynch: A former prisoner of war whose story has inspired many. 

• Loretta Reynolds: The first female General in charge of Paris Island, demonstrating excellence in leadership. 

• Carol Mutter: Recognized in the Indiana War Memorial Building for her service and dedication. 

• Rocky Bleier: A former Notre Dame and Pittsburgh Steeler standout, who understands the value of teamwork and perseverance. 

• Sammy Davis: The only surviving Hoosier Medal of Honor winner residing in Bloomington, Indiana, representing the resilience and courage of military heroes.
