Two $425,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets sold in Chicago suburbs

Two Illinois Lottery players rang in the New Year $425,000 richer after winning the Lucky Day Lotto jackpot prize.

The winning tickets were purchased for the Sunday, December 31 evening drawing at:

  • Mr Quik-Ezz, located at 980 S. Bartlett Rd. in Bartlett
  • BP gas station, located at 5601 Dempster St. in Morton Grove

The two lucky winners matched all five numbers in the Sunday evening drawing to score the $425,000 jackpot prizes. The winning numbers were: 5-12-15-22-28.

This is also a win for the retailers that sold the winning tickets, as they’ll both receive a one percent selling bonus of the prize amount, or $4,250 each.

Overall, more than 31,000 winning tickets were purchased for the Sunday, December 31 evening drawing of Lucky Day Lotto, netting Illinois Lottery players over $931,000.

In 2023, there were over 12 million winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets sold, amounting to over $70 million in prizes for Illinois Lottery players.

Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw in which to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery encourages all lucky winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize.

Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only game with twice daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. Tickets for the game can be purchased in-store, online, or on the Illinois Lottery app. For more information or to buy tickets online, please visit IllinoisLottery.com.
