In addition to fun family activities and great food and music, Real Men Cook’s Father’s Day Celebration will continue its tradition of serving healthy food and promoting nutrition. So, in addition to barbecue ribs, chicken, pies, cakes and other tasty tidbits, there will be salads, raw foods, grilled and roasted vegetables, fruits and baked fish and chicken. Incorporating healthy choices into the menus supports Real Men Charities, Inc.’s mission to build healthy families and communities and spread a message that food is medicine. Through year round programs, seminars, workshops, and supported by medical research, Real Men Cook promotes a healthy lifestyle. Their classes and messages teach that diseases like obesity, diabetes, prostate cancer and heart disease can be prevented and/or managed by adding healthy options and fitness to one’s everyday activities.
Each site will be festooned with the Real Men Cook banner. The men will wear Real Men Cook apparel, and the festivities will continue its legacy that reinforces the message: Real Men Cook, Love and Care.
