A free event providing back-to-school supplies, gifts, and holiday fun
The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division will be sharing holiday cheer, gifts, and backpacks filled with school supplies at the Christmas in July Party taking place on Saturday, July 23, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Midway Citadel Corps Community Center.
As parents struggle with the expense of back-to-school time, The Salvation Army is providing 120 backpacks filled with necessary school supplies. Backpacks and gifts will be given out first-come-first-served. The free event, which is best suited for children ages 6-14, will also feature games, prizes, and a Salvation Army food truck serving hot dogs, snacks, and drinks.
