This Mother’s Day was extra special for actress Taraji P. Henson. The “Empire” star revealed in an Instagram post on Monday that her boyfriend, NFL star, Kelvin Hayden, popped the big question and she is now engaged!
“I said yes y’all!!!” she captioned a Monday Instagram post of a photo showing two hands together — as well as an engagement ring.
The 47-year-old actress and mother of 24-year-old Marcel Johnson from a previous relationship said, “He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!”
In part of her caption, Henson who previously revealed that she raised Marcell on her own after leaving her abusive ex-boyfriend wrote, “#sheisofficiallyoffthemarketand she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!!”
