Silver Cross requires visitors to mask effective January 8

Respiratory virus season is in full swing within the community and right here at Silver Cross Hospital – from patients with COVID-19 to Influenza A and B to Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).

In fact, earlier this week, there were 40 COVID-positive patients alone, and we expect that number may continue to grow over the next week from viruses spread at holiday gatherings over the past couple weeks.

To keep our patients, visitors and staff safe, beginning Monday, Jan. 8, we will require all visitors of hospitalized patients in all units to wear masks at all times while in patient rooms. If you come to the hospital and don’t have a mask, we will provide one for you.

We thank our community for their cooperation and support as we work to keep everyone at Silver Cross safe and healthy!
