Rev.- Dr. Rameen M. Jackson set to deliver keynote address at 37th anniversary observance for Dr. MLK Jr. holiday

Rev.-Dr. Rameen M. Jackson, an anointed, uniquely gifted preacher, and teacher of God’s word will deliver the Keynote Address at the 37th Anniversary Observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday Law Program on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 3:30PM In The Afternoon, Saints Home Church of God In Christ, 833 East 21st Avenue, Gary, Indiana, where the Elder Marcus J. Hammonds is the Pastor.  Rev.- Dr. Rameen M. Jackson is the current Senior Pastor of St. Timothy Community Church.

The theme for this year’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday Law Observance Program sponsored by the Katie Hall Educational Foundation, Inc. is “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: His Life, Legacy and Relevancy in 2023.”  The King National Holiday will be officially celebrated by millions of Americans, and people around the world on the third Monday, January 16th.

Rev.- Dr. Jackson attended the Riverhead Schools and graduated with his Regents Diploma. He furthered his education by attending the SUNY Old Westbury University in Westbury, New York and completed his B.A. Degree in Industrial Labor and Relations.  After accepting his call into ministry, he decided to further his theological studies at New Brunswick Theological Seminary completing a Masters of Divinity degree. Rev.- Dr. Jackson then completed his Doctoral Studies at Virginia Union University Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology, graduating in May of 2017 with a Doctorate of Ministry Degree. His doctoral focus was entitled, “Being a Voice for the Voiceless: Developing Resources to Aid the Holistic Needs of Returning Citizens.”  He has demonstrated over the year’s faithful service in working with the youth, mentoring young men, helping the poor and giving back to the community.   Dr. Jackson attended the Friendship Baptist Church, Riverhead, New York. Under the pastoral leadership of Rev. A. Charles McElroy, Sr. He later joined and was a licensed minister at First Baptist.

Dr. Rameen M. Jackson belongs to the following community organizations such as Executive Board Member of Urban League of Northwest Indiana, Interfaith Clergy Counsel, and the Gary Police Reform Commission. He has served in a leadership capacity for the Norfolk Task Force, Riverhead Rotary Club, Riverhead Central School District’s Business Advisory Board, NAACP Executive Board Member of Norfolk, VA, Virginia Baptist State Convention’s Executive Board Member, Tidewater Metro Ministers’ Conference Treasurer, Tidewater Baptist Association’s Minister of Music and Auditor, Norfolk Pastors’ Coalition Vice-Chairman and Norfolk State University Faith Partner’s Network.

Rev.- Dr. Jackson is the proud father to three (3) beautiful children, Tajae’, Jada and Andre Jackson.

The 37th Anniversary Observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday Law Program on Sunday, January 15, 2023, is free and open to the General Public.
