“Dare to Dream: Building the Thriving School Communities We Deserve” will be the theme of the 38th annual Teach-A-Rama celebration hosted by the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., (NSPDK) Beta Mu Chapter. The educational event will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Gary Public Library and Cultural Center, 220 W. 5th Avenue in Gary, IN.
The event begins at 10:00 a.m. with a Health and Community Resources Fair. The Teach-A-Rama Program starts at 11:00 a.m. with a panel discussion. Panelists will include Dr. LaVada Taylor, Professor of Education, Akilia McCain, Gary Community School Board, and Carl Scott, Principal of West Side Leadership Academy. Administrators, teachers, parents and students are encouraged to attend.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
