Nipsey Hussle’s Estate Is Being Sued For $32K

Paramount Recording Group is seeking $32,000 from late rapper Nipsey Hussle’s estate.

According to The Blast, the music company filed a creditor’s claim that alleges Nipsey never paid them the tens of thousands of dollars from a judgment they won against him and another party in 2012.

This is the first claim filed against Nipsey’s estate. As fans know, the 33-year-old rapper and activist’s older brother, Samiel Asghedom a.k.a. Blacc Sam, recently filed documents asking to be named the administrator of Nipsey’s estate. A judge has yet to rule on Sam’s request.

News of Paramount’s filing comes days after multiple outlets reported that the “Double Up” rapper’s Marathon Clothing store has experienced a major spike in sales since his death, as fans have flocked to both to the flagship store in Crenshaw and online store to buy the late rapper’s merch.

According to reports, the Marathon Clothing has brought in over $10 million in the six weeks since Nipsey was gunned outside the clothing store on March 31.

Las week, Nipsey’s team thanked his supporters and asked for their patience as they tend to the high demand for merchandise. “Thank you to everyone who’s placed an order with us these last couple of weeks. We appreciate the unprecedented outpour of support,” read the statement. “It means alot to our team and family. We are working around the clock to fulfill every order placed. We ask for your patience as we get everything fulfilled and shipped out to you. Additionally, our flagship store is closed right now, but our online store is open 24/7 to serve you and is the only authorized retailer of our brand. Once again, thank you for your support.”
