MHA of Lake County staff receive Healthy Families Service Awards

Three Mental Health America of Lake County professionals were recently honored as recipients of Healthy Families Indiana awards during the Institute for Strengthening Families. The honorees include Errika Denham, Family Resource Specialist of the Year; Victoria Prochno, Staff Support Person of the Year, and Rhiannon Kinsey, Supervisor of the Year.

Healthy Families is an evidence-based, free program that aims to promote the health of pregnant women and their babies, improve birth outcomes, enhance parental knowledge regarding child development, and strengthen the parent-child bonding through home visiting services. Mental Health America of Lake County has been providing Healthy Families programming throughout Lake County for 15 years.

Mental Health America of Lake County is a nonprofit agency providing a range of services to families and children designed to prevent crises and enhance family functioning, with offices in Hammond and Crown Point.
