Methodist Hospitals appoints new assistant vice presidents and two new directors

Sheila Cook and Trischa Turner were appointed Assistant Vice Presidents effective January 7, 2018. Both positions were newly created and will report to Jim Renneker, who is the vice president and chief nursing officer.

Sheila Cook has over 28 years of dedicated service to Methodist Hospitals, including serving as interim Chief Nursing Officer. She received her nursing degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue University. Sheila is National Board Certified as an Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Trischa Turner was previously the Director of Peri Operative and Surgical Services and has over 25 years of experience. She received her nursing degree at I.U.P.U.I. and graduated as a member of Sigma Theta Tau.

She obtained her MSN at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, with a focus in executive leadership.

Methodist Hospitals also has appointed new Directors of Food Services and Plant Operations.

Amy Grzyb is the new Director of Food and Nutrition Services. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from Benedictine University and prior to coming to Methodist served as Director of Food Services at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in Chicago.

Kevin Parker is the new Director of Plant Operations.  Kevin served in the United States Air Force and has served around the world overseeing facilities and plan operation activities for United States Air Force bases and hospitals.

Prior to coming to Methodist Hospitals he served as Sodexo Magic’s Executive Director of Facilities for Chicago Public Schools.
