Frances Jones
Frances Jones, local octogenarian and Merrillville resident, has reinvented herself as a newly minted author with “Thoughts ~ for Pause & Reflection,” a collection of 25 thought-provoking poems. The poems, which proved to be therapeutic as the author is a recent widow, were divinely inspired.
“It’s an unusual experience to be awakened in the night with verses going through my mind,” said Jones, a devout Christian.
The mother of three adult children stated that her college professor recognized her gift of writing poetry. She received an A+ on a poem that she wrote as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
“It’s never too late to reconnect to an old passion,” Jones exclaimed. “This book of poetry was downloaded from the Lord and my desire is that the love and heart of Jesus is reflected in this work.”
