Plus, popular Whiskies on Lincoln tasting opportunity led by Delilah’s Bar returns Saturday, July 23
The iconic Taste of Lincoln Avenue takes over Lincoln Avenue between Fullerton and Wrightwood for its 38th year as one of Chicago’s prime street fests, with activity taking place Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and 24, from 12noon – 10pm.
Festival attendees can look forward to the return of the Whiskies on Lincoln sampling sessions hosted by nationally renowned whisky haven, Delilah’s Bar, Saturday, July 23. Experts from Delilah’s will lead tasting groups through a global selection of 12 whiskies, whiskeys and bourbons in three two-hour tasting sessions: 1-3 p.m., 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tickets, limited to 300 guests per session, are available for only $25, a $10 discount off Delilah’s standard tasting ticket. Whiskies on Lincoln tasting tickets will go on sale soon at chicagoevents.com.
In addition to these fine spirits, the festival will feature familiar favorites from local and national cover bands including The Gingers, Boy Band Review, and Trippin’ Billies. There will also be arts and craft vendors, and food vendors including Enrique’s Place Latin Grill, Lee Concessions, Cold Stone Creamery, and Genoa Italian Concession.
Entrance to Taste of Lincoln Avenue is free with a suggested $10 donation benefitting the Wrightwood Neighborhood Association. Money raised from the fest goes directly back to the community by funding local schools including Lincoln Park High School and Alcott Elementary, afterschool arts programs, community services including Lakeview Food Pantry and Lincoln Park Community Shelter, local emergency services, and park upkeep at Jonquil Park and Wiggly Field dog park.
