The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is alerting drivers to a lane closure on U.S. 12/20 (E. Dunes Hwy) between Alabama Street and I-65, in Gary beginning Wednesday, March 1 through Friday, Friday March 3. Crews will close the eastbound right lane to repair gas lines for the industrial customer at that location.
During the project, U.S. 12/20 (E. Dunes Hwy) will be open to all through traffic, but restricted to one eastbound lane. Motorists should expect periodic delays and allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
