Indiana House recognizes the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2017

On January 9, the General Assembly of the Indiana House of Representatives approved a resolution to recognize the Indiana Military Veteran Hall of Fame Class of 2017. Sixteen Hoosier veterans were inducted into the 2017 class on November 3, 2017.

Following the resolution, a concurrent resolution was approved, recognizing Indiana Credit Unions, leaders, and business partners, for raising and contributing funds to construct the Indiana Military Veteran Hall of Fame Memorial. Indiana is the only state with a freestanding Military Veterans Hall of Fame Memorial, and the Memorial was built without the use of taxpayer funds.

Two Hall of Fame inductees, retired U.S. Army veteran, Lieutenant Colonel Richard M. Storm and retired U.S. Army veteran Command Sergeant Major Jerry O. Blake, were present during the resolutions.

The Indiana General Assembly expressed its sincere gratitude for Indiana Credit Unions providing this funding within Section 1 of the concurrent resolution.
