Final phase of I-65 concrete restoration begins as INDOT contractor advances

Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors North Inc will move to the final phase of concrete restoration work on I-65 between U.S. 231 and U.S. 30.

Weather permitting, lane closures will be utilized during the overnight hours of approximately 8 p.m. Sunday, October 15 to 5 a.m. Monday, October 16 to move southbound traffic back to its normal configuration. Once complete, all ramps currently closed at the I-65 interchanges with 109th and U.S. 231 will reopen.

Concrete and median work will occur during this phase, with two lanes of traffic in each direction and the work zone to the left of traffic. INDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and follow traffic directions carefully. Motorists should slow down, exercise caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
