The African American Achievers Youth Corps, Inc. will host their 1st Annual “Gospel Quartet Concert” on Saturday, August 26 at 7 p.m. in the Glen, 20 West Ridge Road, in Gary.
Dr. Vernon G. Smith, Board Chairman, said the event will feature some of the best gospel quartets in the area. Among those scheduled are Wings of Harmony, The Traveling Kings, The Jones Family, The New Doves, Brothers In Christ, and The Winslett Family Gospel Singers. Marvin Lyles, gospel D.J. for WGVE and WLTH Radio Stations, will be the M.C.
Tickets for the event are $15 and may be purchased at Beautiful Things, 3570 Village Court. The cost at the door will be $20. For additional information contact Smith at 887-2046.
