Freeman-Wilson to give State of City Address Feb. 22

Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson will deliver the State of the City of Address during a luncheon on Friday, February 22, 2019, 11:30 a.m. (CST) at the Genesis Convention Center, One Genesis Center Plaza.

While continuing to review accomplishments and challenges, this year’s address will focus on the city’s financial recovery plan and five-year budget process. This speech will be Freeman-Wilson’s 8th state of the city address.

The State of the City Address additionally is a community, business-networking event that attracts in excess of 700 attendees to the Genesis Center for the annual address. Tickets are $25.00 per person and may be reserved via email cityofgaryeventsrsvp@ ci.gary.in.us or by calling (219) 881-1314 by Friday, February 15, 2019. There is no cost for those desiring to attend the event for the speech only. The mayor’s presentation is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
