Crown Point gears up for some great Blues, Brews and BBQs

The Crown Point Rotary Club will host its 12th annual Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival and Fundraiser on Saturday, October 15th from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Lake County Fairgrounds, Industrial Building located at 889 S. Court St. Crown Point, IN.

“This year will be the biggest year yet” said Crown Point Rotary member and avid Blues fan, Drew Halliar, “we have a terrific band line up this year, awesome BBQ and a beer garden with great local beer.” It’s a great chance to get the entire family out on a Saturday afternoon, listen to some great music, grab lunch and let the kids jump on the bounce houses.

Live music performances this year include Gerry Hundt | Ken Kinsey & Friends featuring Gerry Hundt, Ryan Frahm, Ralph Kinsey with special guest Nicole Jamrose | Jamiah on Fire & the Red Machine.

“We’re so pleased that these groups will be here, it’s one of the best assemblies of Blues Music in the region, period” said Katherine Chariton, Crown Point Rotary President. “we’ve seen great success in the past, but the lineup continues to get better and better every year, and this year is the most exciting yet!”

Katherine noted that 100% of all funds raised will go to efforts that support charitable organizations “This event is one of our biggest fundraisers which helps us help the community in so many ways. Funds raised will go to support groups like Imagination Library, Garden- Lake Street School, Centenial Clock Tower Trailhead, Crown Point High School Interact club, to name a few” said Chariton.

Crown Brewing will be back this year featuring some of the main stream favorites, along with a few new craft creations to be found only in the region.

Admission for this year’s event will be $10 for adults, children 12 and under are free.
