Chicago Urban League 3rd annual Black Wellness Fair returns on February 24

The free fair aims to address and lessen health disparities and will feature nearly 40 vendors with resources and activities for the entire family.

The Chicago Urban League will host the 3rd Annual Black Wellness Fair on Saturday, February 24. The free Black History Month event will be held in partnership with Near North Health and feature nearly 40 vendors. The growing fair will be held at the Komed Homan Health Center located at 4259 S. Berkeley Ave. in Chicago from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to register at bit.ly/BWF24. Walk-ins are also welcome.

This year’s fair will feature expert speakers on three panels focused on the following topics:

  • Lessening Health Disparities in the Black Community
  • Minding the Mental Health of Our Youth
  • Why Should Black People Participate in Clinical Trials?

In addition to the informative panels, attendees will also be treated to health screenings, vaccinations, fitness activities, and healthy cooking demos. A DJ will keep the energy going throughout the day, and attendees will have multiple chances throughout the day to win a variety of amazing prizes through raffle drawings. Prizes include smart watches, air fryers, wellness baskets, bikes for kids and much more. Genentech is serving as a sponsor for this year’s fair.
