Chicagoans are invited to attend a celebration of life service for Third World Press co-founder Dr. Johari M. Amini-Hudson whomade her transition on December 12, 2023. She also co-founded the Institute of Positive Education (established in 1969). Johari was a gifted poet and contributor to the Black Arts Movement, especially in Chicago. She also was a gifted chiropractor.
The community, along with her family and friends, will celebrate Johari’s wonderful life of creativity and giving on Saturday, January 6, 2023, from noon until 4:00 p.m.
The memorial will be held at the campus of the Betty Shabazz International Charter School, 7823 S. Ellis Ave. Limited parking is available in the rear of the school building. Attendees should use the Ellis Avenue entrance and are asked to wear a mask. Please confirm your attendance to [email protected].
