In what appeared to be a real-life version of “Training Day,” a group of police officers admitted to corrupt behaviors that would allow themselves to profit off of drug and gun busts while concealing their unethical behaviors.
The Baltimore Sun reports Sgt. Wayne Jenkins, who oversaw the Baltimore police department’s corrupt Gun Trace Task Force, kept a stock of BB guns to plant on any potential-shooting victims. He instructed his subordinates to do the same. In addition to falsifying reports and perpetrating armed robberies, nearly a dozen members of the force were advised to keep a stash of toy guns in the event they shot an unarmed person.
