Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation, the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of Delta Dental of Illinois, announced its 2019 Community Grants Program recipients. The Foundation awarded more than $200,000 to 23 nonprofit and community organizations throughout the region with programs and services that improve children’s oral health in Illinois.
“For the past seven years, we have been providing grants to organizations that share our mission to improve the health of Illinoisans,” said Lora Vitek, executive director of the Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation. “Our Community Grants Program has provided more than $1 million to help these organizations increase access to quality dental care and expand their oral health education efforts. We are honored to partner with this year’s Community Grants recipients to help reduce dental disease in our state.”
The following Chicago organizations are among the recipients of Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation’s 2019 Community Grants. Included are the amounts of each grant:
Erie Family Health Centers, $10,000; Heartland Alliance – The Oral Health Forum (OHF), $10,000; Howard Area Community Center, $10,000; Infant Welfare Society (IWS) of Chicago, $10,000; Mobile Care Chicago, $10,000; University of Illinois Board of Trustees UIC Department of Pediatric Dentistry, $10,000; Girls in the Game and Chicago Dental Society Foundation, $5,000.
