Grace at Jerusalem Stop The Violence Roots Festival


The Lawndale Black Chamber of Commerce and Rev. Marvin G. Hunter, pastor of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church, are hosting the “Grace at Jerusalem Stop The Violence Roots Festival,” concert Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Park, 4320 West 15th St., Chicago, IL. 

“With the increased violence taking place in Lawndale and across the city, we are using music as a tool to bring people together to heal the fears that result from so much gun violence,” said Rev. Hunter. “This is a family affair where we hope to spread the seeds of love and respect to one another.”

Among the many artists will be: The Delfonics, The Victory Travelers, Lazer Lloyd of Israel, Vance Kelly, KTP Band, The Rock Nation Band featuring Bernard Sutton and Nell’s Nation; Mark Ant; Queen Beautiful and the Soul Band; Jeff Gibbs and the Quartets; Dr. Alfred Wheeler & Blessed Ministries; Terrell Hunter; North Lawndale Mass Choir, and many more.  The Masters of Ceremonies is Marilyn Frizzle who is a radio personality with the WCEV, 1450 AM.
