$500,000 winning scratch-off lottery ticket sold in Chicago

An Illinois Lottery player will be overjoyed after trying their luck on a $10 scratch-off ticket and scoring the top prize – a cool half a million dollars. 

The lucky player won the top prize from playing $100,000,000 Ca$h Spectacular.

The $500,000 winning ticket was purchased at Rico Fresh Market, located at 3552 W. Armitage Ave. in Chicago.

For selling the winning ticket, Rico Fresh Market in Chicago will receive a bonus of one percent of the prize amount, or $5,000.

So far this year, more than 6.5 million Illinois Lottery Instant Tickets have been sold, netting players over $160 million in prizes.

The Illinois Lottery currently offers a range of Instant Ticket games priced from $1 to $50, available at approximately 7,000 retail locations across Illinois.
