On Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. the Women Ministers of First Church of Deliverance will host an Inspirational Service at the Maggie Drummond Community Center, 4301 S. Wabash Ave. in Chicago. The program includes a lunch at Noon followed by a panel discussion from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
The legendary Merri Dee will moderate a discussion with six dynamic women panelists – all women of God who are young, gifted and Black. The title of the panel is “Hidden Figures of Today.”
The panelists are: Dr. Sharon Robinson, Pediatrician; Andrea Peters, Engineer; Dr. Kenya McCalebb, Dentist; Professor Shelita Shaw, Educator; Je Nale King-Thurston, Nurse Practitioner; April Lynne Banks, Brand Manager for Nike.
On Sunday morning, May 28, the Honorable Dorothy Brown, Cook County Circuit Court Clerk, will deliver the 11:00 AM Morning Sermon at First Church of Deliverance, 4315 S. Wabash Ave. in Chicago. At 4:30 p.m., the two Musical Directors, Sisters Lou Della Evans-Reid and Beverly Bibbs, will lead the Mass Women’s Choir in a spiritually moving musical. Pam Morris Walton is the mistress of ceremony for this Women’s Ministry Worship Experience. Both events are free and open to the public.
