WDB Marketing Celebrates Black Entrepreneurship and Leadership recognizing Kurt Summers, Diane Latiker, Phillip Jackson, Emile Cambry and Others!

WDB Marketing Group celebrates its 10 year anniversary of becoming the south suburbs first African American owned full service printing manufacturer. The celebration will take place with a Gala and L.E.G.A.C.Y. Awards Ceremony this Thursday, November 10, 2016. The event takes place from 7p-10p at the Harold Washington Cultural Center located in the Bronzeville neighborhood, 4701 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL.

Six business owners and community leaders will be honored for building L.E.G.A.C.Y (Leadership- Education, Growth, Advocacy-Community- Youth). Awardees include City Treasurer Kurt Summers, Diane Latiker- Kids Off the Block, Emile Cambry- Blue 1647, Phillip Jackson- Black Star Project, Cameka Smith- The BOSS Network and there will be a special award for Mary Lindsey- Founder of Jokes and Notes.

The event is sponsored by Senator Napoleon Harris, Harold Washington Cultural Center, Seaway Bank, Grant’s Financial, Touch with Love, Fort Smith Boutique and Coy’s Production. As WDB Marketing celebrates black entrepreneurship and leadership we have ensured that all food stations are black owned entities. There will be a wine tasting for all VIP attendees provided by Love Cork Screw and Remy Martin. The company is proud to announce food will be provided by the following restaurants: Lisa Kaye Catering, Ain’t She Sweet, JR’s Jerk, Just Turkey, Original, Soul Vegetarian, B Creative Desserts, Jordy Cakes, Kymmies Sweets and Chef Corey Rice.

WDB Marketing will also provide an emerging youth entrepreneur with $5,000 in cash, professional consulting and marketing service to support their business dreams and sustained success. The top 3 finalist will pitch live during the ceremony and be chosen by the audience

“Shark Tank” style.

The celebration will also connect more than 500 start-up and seasoned business owners together for exchange of ideas and strategic networking.
