Unity of Chicago South Hosts ‘Mind Body Soul Expo: A Spiritual Experience’

On Saturday, June 8, the Unity of Chicago South (UCS) family will host, ‘Mind Body Soul Expo: A Spiritual Experience’ at the Dorchester Art + Housing Collaborative, located at 1456 E. 70th St. from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The free event will include sessions on ‘Mindfulness Prosperity’ and ‘What’s Sabotaging Your Success?, professional astrology, movement activities for adults and kids, vendors, and more.

‘Mind Body Soul Expo: A Spiritual Experience’ is open to the public, with a special focus on the South Shore and Grand Crossing communities – South Shore is home to Unity of Chicago South, and they are focused on “boldy building consciousness and community.” The expo will promote collective consciousness, fellowship, and mental, physical, and spiritual health and wellness. Attendees can register for free for the event via ucs-mind-body-soul.eventbrite.com.

“I know that there are tons of people in South Shore and the surrounding communities who are looking for something that Unity of Chicago South offers – a community of likeminded folks invested in spiritual development,” shares Kelsa Robinson, UCS member and event coordinator for the expo. She adds, “In today’s digital age, there is so much available to us at our fingertips, but nothing takes the place of being face-to-face, in community with people…connected…together. I am excited to be a part of building that with UCS.

The Unity principles are centered on the Universal Presence of God, the inherent goodness of mankind, prayer and meditation for spiritual alignment and oneness with God, and the connection between individuals’ thoughts and reality. According to Rev. R, Ken, Senior Minister of Unity of Chicago South, “We do everything in the name of upholding the principles of Unity and uplifting the community that supports us. We look forward to the growth ahead of us and meeting all the attendees of the expo!”

Currently, UCS holds its Sunday celebrations on the campus of 7415 S. East End Ave.; service begins at 11:00 a.m. The entrance is located on the north end of the building with ample parking.
