The African American Achievers Youth Corps, Inc. will host their 10th Annual “Divas of Gospel” Concert on Saturday, June 9 at 7 p.m. in the Glen, 20 West Ridge Road, in Gary.

Dr. Vernon G. Smith, Board Chairman, said the event will feature some of the best female gospel singers in Gary. Among those scheduled are Gloria McCray, Sulretha Swain, Arelise Robinson, Lisa Powell, Gloria Morson, Denice San-didge, Nicole S. Mabon-Brewer, Lorraine Jenkins-Cole, Rosalind Portis, Deborah Ross, Melva Castleberry, Carma Jones, Jannie Dates, Debra Moore, Maridythe Mack, LaVonne Jarrett, Cecelia “CeCe” Tapp, Sharla Johnson, Myesha Daniels, Pam Pruitt, Anita Gathing-Green, and Anjelah Evans.
