President-elect Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, is asking the outgoing President of the United States for a pardon. Cohen revealed that he submitted the required application.
“My hope is that Joe Biden offers and presents me with the same pardon that he did for his own son,” said Cohen in a recent interview.
The lawyer, who was sentenced to a three-year prison term for Trump-related crimes, will be a guest on Jesse Jackson Jr.’s radio talk show, KBLA 1580 Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025 at 4 p.m. (EST).
Jackson Jr. also is seeking a pardon from President Joe Biden. Recently, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked if there was an update.
“Obviously, the president believes in Americans who have shown that they can get a second chance to have that second chance,” the spokeswoman said during a media briefing.
Jean-Pierre added the president has been historic in his actions with pardons and commutations.
