Three of Chicago’s Top Women Business Leaders to be honored

The Chicago Chapter of National Women of Achievement, Inc. will recognize three of Chicago’s ”Unsung Hero- Honorees” at the 27th Annual Scholarship Luncheon on Saturday. April 23, 2016 at the Oak Lawn Hilton, 9333 S. Cicero Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tickets are $60.00.

This year’s honorees include three of Chicago’s leading ladies, daycare chain owner and actress Tamera Fair, City of Chicago 5th Ward Alderman Leslie Hairston, and movie chain Developer Alisa Starks. They represent outstanding entrepreneurs and lawmakers who have served the community with distinction.

“We are thrilled to honor these ladies who not only serve respective professions, but truly embody the spirit of commitment by serving their communities”, says Chicago Chapter President Helen Davis Gardner, M.D.

The Chicago Chapter of NWOA will also give out 4 scholarships to Chicago areas seniors who exemplify the motto of NWOA,“ Excellence and Promotion of Achievement: “The Key to Success.” They are Kendall Jordan, Jessica Pope, Jessica Clark, and Justin A. Hill. National Women of Achievement has given out over $45,000.00 in scholarships.

The NWOA is a not for profit service organization whose mission is encourage youth through their scholarship program and to recognize outstanding community leaders through their “Profiles of Prominence” events.
