“The year of possibilities: We do the possible and God will do the impossible”

Carey Tercentenary African Methodist Episcopal Church, located in historic North Lawndale in Chicago welcomed Reverend Dr. James C. Wade on Sunday, July 15, 2018 as Guest Speaker as part of the church’s year-long celebration of its 102nd Church Anniversary.  The theme for the year is “The Year of Possibilities: We Do the Possible and God Will Do the Impossible.”

Dr. James C. Wade is the Exective Director of the Department of Church Growth and Development of the African Methodist Episcopal Church General Conference. Dr. Wade was ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church over 42 years ago, serving congregations as Senior Pastor in the 4th Episcopal District. With a passion for Christian Education, Evangelism and Youth, Dr. Wade has continuously worked to open doors that allow youth and youth delegates to come to the forefront in African Methodism.

Wade has written and published several Evangelism and “how to” booklets, among them: “How to Pray for Your Children,” “Sunday School Evangelism at its Best” and “Praise is What I Do.”

Several events are planned leading up to the year-long celebration, which will culminate Sunday, September 23, 2018 with Bishop John Franklin White, who is the 130th Elected and Consecrated Bishop of the AME Church.
