The William Everett Group selected as Cook County Census Program Administrator

Now the William Everett Group (TWEG) will add another important contract award to the firm’s growing list of high-profile engagements. The William Everett Group recently announced it has been awarded the contract to perform Program Administrator Services for Cook County in the upcoming 2020 Census.

Under the contract, The William Everett Group will work closely with the Cook County Complete Count Commission and the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development to increase the overall participation in the 2020 Census for Cook County.

The County has allocated $2 million toward efforts to increase awareness, promote self-response, and improve the response rate for the 2020 Census, with an emphasis on outreach to hard-to-count populations.

Local community agencies and local governments may apply for a grant to perform their own Census outreach, under the supervision of the Program Administrator. The application to become a grantee is available at https://www.cookcountyil.gov/census. Details related to the grant application are available on-line.

The contract extends from October 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020.

“We are proud to be selected as the winning vendor for this important work that will particularly empower and engage those groups most under-represented in the Census. We have comprised an excellent team of firms who have a proven track record of successfully implementing critical public sector projects such as this,” said TWEG President and CEO Ellen Rozelle Turner.

Other members of the TWEG team include The Tallulah Group, an African-American, female-owned firm that specializes in media and public relations, marketing, community outreach, speechwriting, and executive positioning; Vera Creative, a Latinx- and female-owned full-service marketing and public relations agency; and Fjord, a division of Accenture, specializing in design and innovation.
