The City Of Harvey Team-Up With Thornton Township District 205 With Hands Across Harvey

3000 students, parents, and community residents are expected to join the “Hands Across Harvey – Unity in Our Community Initiative” TO STOP THE VIOLENCE!   

The Hands Holding Ceremony will be Saturday October 26th, 2019. Time:10 a.m.–2 p.m.

The Thornton Township High Schools District 205 Student Board of Education is joining forces with the First Annual “Hands Across Harvey Initiative with the City of Harvey and the Cook County Southland Juvenile Justice Council” on Saturday, October 26th, at Holy Temple Cathedral, 15912 Lincoln Ave, Harvey, IL. Time 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The “Hands Across Harvey Unity in Our Community” is an open Invitation to all community stakeholders and supporters to unite and bring social change for safe schools and safe communities in the South Suburbs. There will be a renowned DJ kicking-off the celebration after the “Hands Across Harvey Initiative” at Holy Temple Cathedral.

Keynote Speaker on Saturday, October 26th at Holy Temple Cathedral will be newly elected Harvey, IL, Honorable Mayor, Mr. Christopher Clark, followed by District 205 Board of Education President, Ms. Nina Graham, District 205, Superintendent, Dr. Nathaniel Cunningham Jr., and District 205 Student Board of Education President, Ms. Sonja Bradley and a host of elected officials and dignitaries.

The District 205, Student Board of Education, Cook County, Southland Juvenile Justice Council (S.J.J.C.) and Mayors in the South Suburbs are sick and tired of the senseless killings of young people involved in gangs and violence.

Superintendent, Douglas D. Moye Sr., of Holy Temple Cathedral will be hosting the Hands Across Harvey Initiative at 15912 Lincoln Ave, Harvey, IL. Time: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
