The Chosen Few DJs celebrate 30 years of the Chosen Few Picnic on Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Jackson Park in Chicago. Lauren Lowery, founder of the Vintage House Show Podcast suggests “The Chosen Few Picnic is critical to the history of house music, the success of music genre globally and demonstrates how over 40,000 House Music lovers engage peacefully on Chicago’s South Side.” The Chosen Few DJs and their stories highlight Chicago and Black Music Histories and deserve national light.
