The Chicago Crusader Spotlight – Nola Adé

Afro-Soul singer-songwriter Nola Adé’s radiant light shines in the midst of life’s challenges. Her dope aura and superb voice are just a few of the reasons why she has been fully embraced since bursting onto the music scene several years ago. Adé is a force to be reckoned with, due to her amazing spirit, powerful vocal phrasing, dynamic tone, and a style that is all her own. As a first-generation Nigerian American born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Adé embodies the immigrant spirit of hope and positivity. Her musical stylings and boisterous voice reflect her upbringing.

Buzzing attention earned Adé opening slots for shows with international recording artists like Bilal, Avery*Sunshine, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, and Daley. Adé gained further recognition with her live performances on the Lexus Verses and Flow stage at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, ABC7’s Windy City Live in September 2015, Fox 32’s Good Day Chicago in July 2016, and at the Taste of Chicago as a headliner on the Bud Light Stage in July 2016. Adé previously released “The Love Dance EP” in March 2016, a single entitled “Good Feelin’” in November 2017, and is gearing up for new releases in Spring 2019. Her music has been featured in Afropunk, Soultrain, Rolling Out, Soul Bounce, Jet Magazine, and many more national and international publications. Nola Adé has finally landed on her destination, fully committed to using soul music to spread hope around the world.
