Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour

Showcasing The Largest African American Art District in The Nation

Friday, July 15th immerse yourself in the Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour 2022 which offers great access to the Largest African American Art District in the Nation. Now in its 16th year, the Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour 2022 will happen from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Amazing art and entertainment plus an opportunity to meet with the gallery owners and artists will be available to attendees. The event is free but guests must RSVP at https://bit.ly/2022bronzevillearttour.

The five galleries featured on the Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour 2022 are Gallery Guichard, “Art That Touches The Soul,” Blanc Gallery, “A Culture Of Conversation,” Bronzeville Artist Lofts, where extraordinary art is created and curated, Faie Afrikan Art, “African Art In Bronzeville,” and the South Side Community Art Center, “A Legacy Of Artistic Excellence.” The evening will also include food and cocktails.

Attendees are excited that the trolleys are back this year!  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this special part of the tour was discontinued for two years. Andre Guichard, the Mayor of Bronzeville and co-owner of Bronzeville’s Gallery Guichard along with Frances Guichard, states,

“We are excited about the double-decker buses being a part of the Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour again this year. These trolleys are good for Chicago tourism and have become a symbol internationally for tourism in our city.  It is important that they are in Bronzeville again now.” Frances Guichard, the First Lady of Bronzeville, says,” The trolleys show off the best Chicago has to offer.  Chicago has great culture, art, architecture, restaurants and history. All of these things and more can be found in Bronzeville.”

The Guichards also point out that the Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour is so important because it also helps businesses and the community in Bronzeville.  Frances says, “This is a chance to build generational wealth in our community.” Andre also notes, “The trolley tour is significant because of our proximity to McCormick Place and downtown. People need to see the trolleys traveling South to Bronzeville and realize all that we have to offer.”

The trolleys also offer great convenience and safety for attendees because they can hop on and off the trolleys as they desire at each of the five galleries. The Bronzeville Art District Art Tour 2022 will take place on the third Friday of each month.  Additional dates following July 15th are August 19th and September 16th.
