Strausberg, other women honored at March 17 luncheon

The Chairman of National Black Wall Street Chicago, Mark Allen, recently announced that veteran Black journalist Chinta Strausberg will receive their Living Legacy Award at the Women’s History Month Luncheon 1:00 p.m. on THURSDAY, MARCH 17 at the National Black Wall Street Chicago offices, located at 4655 South King Drive, Suite 203.

Allen said, “Chinta Strausberg is certainly a living women of history!! As I celebrate my over 40 years in public service on local, state, and national levels in ALL those years I can attest to the fact that Chinta Strausberg was right there reporting our Black community news in her historic role as veteran reporter for The Chicago Defender Newspaper and today through her many roles as an Independent journalist!!”

“From the first Black Mayor to the first Black President, Chinta Strausberg was right there giving people the very important Black perspective of our new carried in more ways than our mainstream media. And I can attest to that one of the reasons that my name is even known for my work through the years is BECAUSE it was a Chinta Strausberg would gave attention to reporting on my work and so often reporting on me and my leadership when mainstream media ignored so many of us. I am humbled to be able to honor Sister Chinta during this ,Women’s History Month as I also celebrate the role that women have played in my personal and professional for my over 40 years of public service.”
