The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the closure of State Road 152/Indianapolis Boulevard, between Summer Street and 165th Street in Hammond Monday, October 9 through Saturday, October 14 for railroad crossing rehabilitation. Norfolk Southern Railroad Company will close State Road 152 only at this location to upgrade and repair the railroad crossing. The schedule of this work is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.
State road detours must be along state-maintained roadways only. Drivers wishing to travel north on State Road 152/Indianapolis Boulevard will be detoured east on I-94, north on State Road 912, west on U.S. 20 to State Road 152/Indianapolis Boulevard. Drivers wishing to travel south on State Road 152/Indianapolis Boulevard will be detoured east on U.S. 20, south on State Road 912, west on I-94 to State Road 152/Indianapolis Boulevard.
