State Representative La Shawn K. Ford (D-CH), Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) and Michele Clark Academic Prep Magnet High School (MCHS) will be hosting FASA Completion Night at Michele Clark High School on Friday, October 11, 2019 @ 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The FASA Completion Night will have ISAC educating and assisting high school seniors how to apply for the various grants, awards and scholarships available to them in Illinois.
Ford’s partnership with MCHS and ISAC is a continuing effort in promoting College Changes Everything Month (CCEM). CCEM encourages senior students in high school seeking to attend college in Illinois to be prepared for student assistance opportunities.
“We are continuing to promote CCEM for students with this free event in partnership with ISAC and MCHS to help college bound senior students to learn about the opportunities available to them for college assistant in Illinois,” said Ford. “I thank ISAC and MCHS in partnering to help encourage students and parents in taking advantage of learning about college assistance opportunities in order to make our youth successful in the next chapter of their life.”
CCEM is a college access movement initiated by the ISAC. ISAC launched CCEM combining the activities of College Application Month and Financial Aid Awareness Month.
