On Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at St. Sabina, 78th and Throop, in conjunction with the City of Chicago, will host a “Gun Buy Back” program. Firearms can be turned in with NO QUESTIONS ASKED and the owner will receive gift card ($100 for guns and $10 for BB guns, air guns, and/or replica guns).
Pastor Pfleger said, “A reduction in firearms on the streets will bring about a reduction in firearms crimes. Our city has been ravaged by gun violence and we must do something to change that.”
Saint Sabina will also have individuals on hand to sign people up for summer jobs for teens, other employment programs, GED classes, and other programs and activities at The Saint Sabina Ark Youth Center.
