Barker Mansion is holding it’s first-ever Spring Break History Camp from April 4 through 7. The camp is ideal for ages eight and up, though all are welcome to attend. Mansion staff will facilitate hands-on activities throughout the week, including an “off-limits” tour, where kids venture behind the scenes of the historic building. A scavenger hunt and a field trip to the Old Lighthouse Museum are also on the agenda.
The camp runs from 9 am to 11:30 am, Monday through Wednesday and from 9 am to 1 pm on Thursday. Craft materials and snacks are provided each day, and lunch is included on Thursday. A $45 fee includes all activities and materials, plus a Barker Mansion t-shirt.
Registration is required by calling (219) 873-1520. Guardians must sign a consent form at Monday morning camper drop-off.
The Barker Mansion is located at 631 Washington Street in Michigan City, IN. Visit www.BarkerMansion.com for details.
