IN THE MIXED 4×400 Track and Field event at the Paris Olympics, the USA Team consisting of Vernon Norwood, Shamier Little, Bryce Deadmon, and Kaylyn Brown set a world record during the semi-final qualifying race. Little is a native of Chicago who ran track at Lindblom Math & Science Academy. The team ended their Olympic competition by winning the silver medal in the Olympic final later the next day.
