Small business owners invited to 6-week Enrichment Series

Author, radio personality, entrepreneur and founder of the Northwest Indiana Mastermind Think Tank Crystal Lynn O’Brien wants to see small business owners in the region win. The Gary native created the concept of bringing six entrepreneurs together at a time for six weeks to brainstorm and develop unique business solutions for their entrepreneurial visions.

The first Think Tank took place last fall and was a success for it to be a first attempt says O’Brien.

“The key is having six different types of businesses with entrepreneurs who have different goals,” said

O’Brien. “This diversity allows various people with different perspectives and expertise to come to the table.”

O’Brien further explains that the Think Tank focuses on the 3 S’s – Set, Strategize and Succeed.

The six participants meet once a week (Mondays) for two hours. The first hour is spent sharing ideas, business experiences and brainstorming, while the second hour features guest speakers who are experts in the areas that the participants want to learn more about.

The next Mastermind class takes place at the Purdue Extension Site in Crown Point beginning May 15th through June 29th. There are still a few slots left, and those who do not participate in the upcoming session will be placed on a waiting list for future classes.

“There are so many promising local business owners who want to thrive and flourish,” said O’Brien. “I learned a lot of hard lessons when I started on my path as an entrepreneur, so I thought the Mastermind Think Tank would be a great way to reach back and help someone else while learning more entrepreneurial techniques along the way.”
