A hazmat crew was called to investigate a suspicious package labeled “anthrax” that was left at the office of Rep. Maxine Waters Tuesday.
After further investigation, the Los Angeles Fire Department found that no hazardous materials were found and that no one required hospitalization, ABC News reports.
Waters has been on the receiving end of death threats and criticism after calling for the public to “push back” on the administration’s zero tolerance immigration policy that separates families. President Donald Trump directly threatened Waters for her comments against his administration in June.
