Over 80 companies seek new hires at 2017 Community Job Fair

WELL WORTH IT is how participants in previous job fairs describe their wait in line. This year’s Community Job Fair, presented by Thornton Township and South Suburban College, is Tuesday, May 23, at the South Suburban College Fitness Center, 15800 South State Street in South Holland, IL. Free, and open to the public, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Thornton Township and South Suburban College are partnering to offer a 2017 Community Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23. This free event is open to the public and will be held in the South Suburban College Fitness Center at 15800 South State Street, South Holland, Illinois. SSC and Thornton Township invite all job seekers to participate at this special event. For your convenience, free resume writing assistance will also be offered.

“In the Southland, we want to promote job creation and give our community every opportunity to receive quality jobs and careers,” said Frank M. Zuccarelli, Thornton Township Supervisor. “We have a large number of great companies that are looking to hire immediately.”

The following employers/service organizations that will be at the event are: 160 Driving Academy, ABF Freight, Advantage Nursing Services, Advocate Healthcare, Aperion Care, Dolton, Blue Cap, Bria of River Oaks, Calumet Carton Company, Catholic Charities Diocese of Joliet, and Chicago Transit Authority.

A BIG TURNOUT is just what Community Job Fair organizers expect again this year. Prospective employers and service organizations participating include businesses in transportation, health care, education, law enforcement, retail, social services, and package delivery to name a few. More than 50 companies will have representatives on site. Free resume writing assistance will be offered.
